WORSHIP

Sunday Services

The principal Sunday service is the Holy Eucharist.

Eucharist is celebrated on the following Sunday schedule (as of September 16, 2007):

  • 8:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist, Rite II (said);
  • 9:15 a.m. Parish Education; and
  • 10:30 a.m., Holy Eucharist, Rite II (sung).

Please Note: Nursery services are available for ages 5 and younger from 7:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

The Nursery is available during all services. Our building is handicap-accessible and assistance is always available.

A 6:15 a.m. Eucharist is offered most Wednesday mornings.

Structure of the Sunday Service

Much of the service remains the same each Sunday. Bible readings follow a three year cycle, which allows a majority of the Bible to be read in that time. Sunday readings usually include a reading from the Hebrew Testament, a psalm, a reading from the Epistles, and a Gospel reading. The homily is generally based on the Gospel reading.

Services are Dignified, God-centered and
Mindful of Human Needs

You will find the services of the Episcopal Church beautiful in their ordered dignity, God-centered, and yet mindful of the nature and needs of human beings.

After the 8:00 a.m. Eucharist on Sundays, many members usually go out to breakfast at a local restaurant following the earliest service. Please feel free to join them!

After the later service, worshipers meet downstairs in the Parish Hall for coffee hour. If you have difficulty with stairs, please ask for directions to the lift.

When you visit an Episcopal Church, you will be our respected and welcomed guest. You will not be singled out in an embarrassing way, nor asked to stand before the congrega-
tion, nor to come forward. You will have the opportunity to worship God with us.
